Our Lady of Guadalupe

This ministry was created over 10 years ago and promotes devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe by formally celebrating her Feast Day on December 12. The feast celebrates the apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe to Juan Diego of Tepeyac, Mexico in the year 1531. Our Lady of Guadalupe was declared Patroness of the Americas in 1999. During the wars of Independence of Mexico, she was the Patroness of the Mexican armies. Many people of the Americas turn to her for help and guidance.

It is our mission to foster fellowship and faith among Mother of Mercy Community and encourage our members to represent themselves in church projects and activities. Some of these activities, in addition to the celebration and devotions for the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, include offering help to people during times of need, planning food sales, organizing fundraisers.

If you would like to promote the devotion of Our Lady of Guadalupe and/or assist in the activities of Our Lady of Guadalupe, we invite you to join us in this beautiful ministry.
